Hamlet Synopsis

The Royal Shakespeare Company's award-winning production of Hamlet, directed by RSC Chief Associate Director Gregory Doran, stars David Tennant in the title role.

Made by Illuminations, this screen version of Shakespeare's great tragedy retains the quality and tone of the critically acclaimed stage production and was filmed on location. All key original members of the cast, including Patrick Stewart as Claudius, star in this special 180-minute production, which also has the same creative team. The film is directed by Gregory Doran and designed by Robert Jones, who also designed the stage production.

To support this new film of Hamlet, a rich online BBC website is being created in collaboration with the RSC, featuring behind-the-scenes stills and footage; specially shot interviews with the actors talking about their characters and their approach to the play; interviews with the director and other key backstage personnel; and a comprehensive range of links through to the full depth of BBC Learning's content on Shakespeare and RSC Education's content on Shakespeare in performance.

Beast of Clawstone Castle to Purchase

There has been requests on where can one buy 'The beasts of Clawstone Castle" with David Tennant reading it. Now.. for those who are determined enough you can.. but it will cost a tiny bit.

Amazon.co.uk has it with David Tennant
but that does mean an exchange rate and shipping fee. Now in the past I've bought stuff from Amazon.co.uk before and its never been to unreasonable. Of course the last time was probably four years ago so my luck its worse now.

In the past a £13 item would cost me about $20 odd dollars ..by the end of the bill with shipping it be close to $30. Seems like a lot but if you know what your in for, its something that can be planned out. In this case it won't be that much as the audio book is £6.49 not £13.

International shipping

Now if you consider buying from the used and new section which does have US delivery on some items then you can save. ..Especially if you buy the cassette version in this case. I've bought from the used and new before and 90% of the time it works out wonderfully. Don't forget to check the star rating and reviews of who ever you decide to buy from. If you can use Paypal as well use it.. always the best option if you are worried about who you are purchasing from.

I hope this helps, and if i ever find the audio book (with David Tennant) from a US dealer I will post it right away.

Thanks to HrothgirOD on Twitter for finding the Audio book.

David to read us bedtime stories :)

Between Doctor Who, Hamlet and now Stories read by him its definitely going to be a Tennantastic Christmas isn't it? Fine by me.. it helps me cope with the loss of the Tenth Doctor.

There's a Christmas Eve treat for young story-lovers when Doctor Who star David Tennant swaps the Tardis for the Bedtime Story chair and breathes life into the enchanting seasonal tale of The Christmas Bear by Henrietta and Paul Stickland.

It's Christmas Eve and Bear Cub leaves his parents in their den to go out exploring. Falling into a big, bright hole in the snow, Cub finds himself in Santa's workshop and at the start of a wonderful Christmas adventure. From the post room to the wrapping room, Cub is given a whistle-stop tour of the Christmas present process – with a tantalising glimpse of the toy-testing room. But Cub is disappointed when it's time to leave – until Santa gives him the best present of all...

David Tennant reads four more stories during the festive season: How High Is The Sky by Anna Milbourne, illustrated by Serena Riglietti; Small Mouse, Big City by Simon Prescott; Emily Brown And The Elephant Emergency by Cressida Cowell and Neal Layton; and Miki by Stephen Mackey.

The BBC sure are milking his popularity for all its worth aren't they.. again fine by me!

Rex Is not your lawyer and the possible love triangle!

The Lovely blog Epic Fail has posted the following below yesterday. I suggest you David Tennant fans hop over and read it all! We have to get to know our Rex..I am so looking forward to D.T's new show.

I, the consummate shipper, was immediately intrigued. See, usually when characters are introduced in the pilot as the significant other of the main character, we aren’t supposed to expect them to stay together for very long. Often, said love interest is the villain. (Terri Schuester. Enough said.) And given Spencer’s history (read: the only two roles I could remember) as a sexy crazy person, I thought it was quite possible that she was merely a foil for the real ship. Which was when I sought out the casting sides.

Turns out, I was totally right.

Lindsey, Rex’s ex-fiancee (notice the ex-), left when Rex had his nervous breakdown, the event precipitating the series, in which the hero, a lawyer, finds himself incapable of litigating and resorts to counseling legal clients to represent themselves. He’s been reading her e-mail since the split, and she’s seeing someone new.

Though from what I know of the Sophia auditions I'm not impressed..I guess I'll have to wait and see who they cast.
