Fanatical For Who - On Hiatus

myspace layouts

Fanatical for Who has and currently is still on hiatus if my regular followers haven't already figured it out. I am sorry for not posting on this before. I had intended originally to be updating the blog but I ended up ill again. Then after just a day or two of feeling better I got injured and this has left me in a lot of pain.

Between the injury and the constantly being ill I haven't felt in the mood to blog, its feel like the enjoyment got sucked dry. So I am giving it a month and if i either can feel better and get bit by the blogging bug again, Fanatical For Who will make a come back if not then I will have to make a decision on what to do with this blog.

I don't really see my leaving if it happens as some big loss considering there are so many Doctor Who Blogs and many of them are far better then my own. I do however feel bad that it got to this point. I really have enjoyed myself over all and My love for Doctor Who has in no way decreased.

I suggest checking out some of the blogs at the bottom of this site for a your Doctor Who needs and hope its been a good summer for everyone, even if mine kinda sucked.

Doctor Who - Toby Whithouse writing for who series 6?

From an SFX article on SFX’s San Diego Comic-Con panel about Toby Whithouse -
When asked if he and fellow panelist Paul Cornell would be writing for Doctor Who again, he replied, “We’re contractually not allowed to say.”

Sharp as ever, another fellow panelist, award-winning novelist China Miéville, said, “We can apply a bit of detective work here. If Toby’s contractually advised not to say anything, that must mean he’s under contract.”

Which received a “no comment” stare from Whithouse. So, has Miéville successfully put two and two together?

Hmm, sounds like he'll be writing to me.

Doctor Who - More filming pictures, Radio Times interview , & another guest actor confirmed

More set images from Alun_Vega and though nothing big to report there is a little costume speculation at Life, Doctor Who,and Combom with the actor Michael Gambon.

In addition to Michael Gambon and singer Katherine Jenkins being confirmed for the Christmas special there is now actor Danny Horn. IMDB list it as only a bit part, but there you go.

Life, Doctor Who, and Combom also has the Radio Times interview with Matt Smith. He was interviewed by children, should make for an interesting read.

Doctor Who - Filming for series 6 at the Coal Exchange

Filming for the Doctor Who Christmas special is on the way and right now they've been setting up at the Coal Exchange on Mount Stuart Square in Cardiff. Alun_Vega has posted some nice pictures, though none of actual filming. Its wondered if the filming won't be for a few days or if its a night shoot.

Michael Gambon, a Dalek, and a cyberman were spotted on set. Though that doesn't mean they are in it..

Torchwood - Series 4 New Characters

Oh! Goodies for Torchwood!..bring 'em on baby! bring 'em on..

Ausiello: Whisperings? More like shoutings. Among the casting intel I’ve gathered on the new season (airing on my new favorite cable network, Starz), the show is out to cast a new series regular — Rex Matheson, a wickedly funny (operative word: wicked) CIA agent born to make waves. Almost as key to the new season are recurring characters Esther Katusi, a CIA grunt in her early 20s who learns what she’s really made of only when she’s forced to, and Oswald Jones, a convicted murderer and pedophile who will be as shocked as anyone to learn how easily infamy and fame can be exchanged for one another.

And Starz's new season of Torchwood is shaping up with the search for one series regular and two supporting roles. Rex Matheson is a white, twenty-something CIA agent who sounds sort of like FX's animated Archer spy: a fearless, cocky thrill seeker. Recurring characters include Esther Katusi, a newbie Watch Analyst in the CIA who is deeply (and secretly) in love with Rex. And Oswald Jones is the dangerous psychotic villain. He's a forty-something murderer and pedophile who gets sprung from the slammer into the spotlight. Rex — catch this sicko!
