From The Doctor to Mr. Rex Alexander

By now, I'd be surprised if any Doctor Who or David Tennant fan didn't know of the surprising news that came out last night. Then it was mainly just a report from one source, but now, a full blown internet sweeping cascade of how Mr. Tennant has landed the title role in an American dramedy.

"Rex is not your Lawyer" is about a top Chicago Litigator Rex Alexander who begins to suffers panic attacks and decides to coach his clients to represent themselves in court.

NBC approved of the pilot in august, that was developed two years ago and had been running auditions for several months when David auditioned and nailed the part.

The show sounds like it will have promise, legal shows tend to do well here in America and the show, which is from Universal Media Studios and BermanBraun, is being helmed by David Semel, who directed the pilots for "Heroes" and "Life,"

At first the only source for this information was The Hollywood reporter, but now backed by the likes of the BBC news, SFX, and Den of Geek, it seems it is to be true.

I feel personally like I've woke up in a pleasant version of the Twilight Zone. Though now I feel paranoid that at some point along the way it won't happen and I won't have my weekly David Tennant fix.

Excited as I am, I'm trying to curb it a bit so as not to be to disappointed if it falls through, though I think I will fail at this attempt to rein my excitement in. Like many of David Tennants followers I do have pressing questions, such as will he keep his accent, or will it be American? What does this mean for him and Georgia? Will my heart be able to handle it when I walk into a store and see his face on a TV guide? Can I actually get use to him being called Rex?

Possible other actors in the pilot. Rex is not your lawyer auditions

all I have to say is his American accent is NOT that of a Chicagoan. Crossing fingers for Scot or Brit accent in this one *hopes*

His American accent...i dunno, it just doesn't gel with me. Astonishingly, This is the first time I've ever slightly disapproved of anything that David's done. Well, second time if you count GM :P
